How To Sync Your Shopify Products

Easily sync products from your Shopify account to display on your page!

    1. Settings Page

      Go to the Settings page from your dashboard navigation menu.

    2. Activate

      On the Settings page in the “Shopify Product Sync” section click the “Activate” button and save your changes at the bottom right of the screen to activate Shopify Product Sync.

    3. Create your Shopify API credentials

      Log into your Shopify account and create a private app to manage your product sync. Follow the steps below to create your app and credentials to add in your dashboard to set up your product sync.

      Note: Please contact if you have trouble creating your Shopify app or syncing your products in your dashboard.

    4. Create a private Shopify app

      Log into your Shopify account and follow the instructions at the link below to create your new private app.

      You can use any app name you choose. Name your app something that you can recognize later. Example: [Your Shop Name] My Artist Page Integration.

    5. Find your apps

      After you have created your app, in your Shopify account, click “Apps” in the left navigation pane, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the link for “Manage private apps” to show the list which should include your newly created private app.

    6. Select your app

      In your Shopify account, click on the name of your new private app you just created.

    7. Edit your app’s permissions

      In your Shopify account, edit your app’s permissions to allow sync access.

      Note: Not all these permissions will be shown in your page.

      Under Admin API, scroll to ADMIN API PERMISSIONS in your app page, set the following permissions to allow your app to sync your products.

      • Analytics: Read Access
      • Assigned fulfillment orders: Read and write
      • Customers: Read and write
      • Discounts: Read and write
      • Draft orders: Read and write
      • Fulfillment services: Read and write
      • GDPR data requests: Read access
      • Gift cards: Read and write
      • Inventory: Read and write
      • Kit Skills: Read and write
      • Legal policies: Read and write
      • Locations: Read and write
      • Marketing events: Read and write
      • Merchant-managed fulfillment orders: Read and write
      • Online Store pages: Read and write
      • Order editing: Read and write
      • Orders: Read and write
      • Price rules: Read and write
      • Product listings: Read and write
      • Products: Read and write
      • Reports: Read and write
      • Resource feedback: Read and write
      • Script tags: Read and write
      • Shipping: Read and write
      • Shop locale: Read and write
      • Shopify Payments accounts: Read access
      • Shopify Payments bank accounts: Read access
      • Store content: Read and write
      • Themes: Read and write
      • Third-party fulfillment orders: Read and write
      • Translations: Read and write

      Under Storefront API, make sure the following options are checked.

      • Read products, variants, and collections
      • Read product tags
      • Read inventory of products and their variants
      • Read and modify customer details
      • Read and modify checkouts
      • Read content like articles, blogs, and comments
    8. Enter your app credentials

      You will need the following items from your app page in your Shopify account to enter in your dashboard. This will allow you to sync your Shopify products and display them on your page.

      • Shopify domain
      • API Key
      • API Password
      • Shared Secret
      • Storefront Access Token
    9. Get your app credentials from Shopify

      You can find your API information in your Shopify account in your app page that you just edited. Keep your app page open in a different tab or window. You will need to copy this information into your Dashboard in the next step.

      • Shopify domain ( – This is your Shopify page URL. You can copy the URL that appears in your browser while logged into your Shopify account. Use the URL format without the “https://” at the front. It should appear something like this:
      • API Key – Copy from your app page under Admin API
      • API Password – Copy from your app page under Admin API
      • Shared Secret – Copy from your app page under Admin API
      • Storefront Access Token – Copy from your app page under Admin API at the very end of the page
    10. Open your Shopify Sync settings in your Dashboard

      Open your Dashboard Settings page in a separate tab or window.

      In the Shopify Product Sync section, click the Settings button, then click “Get Started” to open up your Shopify sync settings.

    11. Enter your API credentials in your Dashboard

      Enter the credentials from the previous step (from your separate tab or window) into the fields on the Shopify settings page then click “Connect your Shopify store”.

      If you created your app correctly, you should see the indicator that your store has been connected.

      Once the connection has been made, click “Continue to Next Step”, then click “Proceed to Product Sync”.

      You can now close your Shopify account page.

      Note: Please contact if you have trouble creating your Shopify app or syncing your products in your dashboard.

    12. Sync your Shopify products

      Click the “Sync Products” button to begin your product sync. Please wait until all of the progress bars are complete and each item has a check mark added before refreshing or changing pages.

      Once the sync is complete, click “Close”.

      Click “Add Your Products to Page” to edit your page to display your Shopify products or click “Return to Page Settings” to add more integrations.

      Note: The “Add Your Products to Page” button will link to your main page. You can also add your Shopify products to any other page you have added. You can view your list of pages by clicking “My MAPs” any time while in your Dashboard.

    13. Add Shopify products to your page

      On your page, create a new section to display your Shopify products.

    14. Edit your product display settings

      Choose your sorting options.

      • Title (A to Z) – This is the default sorting option.
      • Price (Lowest First)
      • Best Selling (Best First) – Your best selling products information comes directly from your Shopify sync settings.
      • Category – This will group your products by the category set in your Shopify account. The categories will be ordered alphabetically by default.

      Choose “Reverse Order” to reverse any of the above options. Example: If you have Title chosen as your sorting option, this checkbox will change the order alphabetically from Z to A.

      Choose whether or not to display your products that are out of stock.

    15. Choose which products to display

      You can select individual products to display on your page or select “Toggle All” to display all of your products.

    16. Update your page

      Click “Update” to save your Shopify product section settings then click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page to update your page, or continue to edit your page.

      You can now view your products on your page!
